Tailor your look at Plum: New in-house designer serves up sexy, sophisticated looks for fall

Wednesday Aug. 16 2006

Vancouver, B.C., August 16, 2006 — Claudia Agusti, Plum’s new in-house designer takes fall by storm with a sophisticated collection designed for work and play. From dreamy cream full-length coats to Chanel-inspired jackets and a line of dresses Audrey Hepburn would swoon over, Plum’s look is as feminine and tailored as they come.

“Our fall line is a natural progression from what our customers have embraced this spring,” says Agusti. “Think feminine cuts that celebrate a woman's curves with a healthy dose of sophistication.”

After receiving rave reviews for her dresses in the spring/summer 2006 collection, Agusti will introduce several new looks for fall including classic jersey wrap dresses in teal, chocolate and blue on black, and a Roland Mouret-inspired cap sleeve, pencil dress in this season’s hottest fabric: plaid.

“We’ve expanded the dress line to include more variety as it continues to be a staple for fall,” says Agusti. “The wrap dress in particular has been a huge hit with shoppers as it is wonderfully forgiving and flattering on all shapes and sizes.”

The Plum design team will also unveil a more feminine line of basics including affordable, ultra-soft cashmere blend sweaters, ribbed long-sleeve tees and three-quarter sleeve turtlenecks in black, grey, cream, and rich colours like teal, chocolate and berry.

“Everything will feel new this season at Plum, so customers won’t think oh I’ve seen this before,” explains Agusti. “At the same time we’ve carried through our commitment to accessible fashions and individual style – for us, fashion is always about fun.”
